Club Game Fixtures for 2010/11

We have organised the following shoots for the club. As in past years we do occasionally add on additional days and can organise a complete day for one client if required. The club is happy to look after novices and will provide coaches and/or minders to help on the day - there is an additional cost of £65 per person for this. We aim to have 8 to 9 guns on each shoot and ½ guns are allowed. The costs below do not include cartridges or tips to the beaters (usually £30 to £40 per person depending on the size of the day).

Deposits have to be paid early in the year, usually before May and are non-refundable unless the ground cancels the shoot and then there is only a partial refund usually 50%. However if the member cancels the day and cannot provide a replacement there is no refund of their deposit.

Usually the day will start at 9am for breakfast, we will then draw pegs and shoot approx 5 to 6 drives depending on the weather and how the ground is set up. We usually then stop at 11am for a coffee and snack. We may stop at 1pm for lunch or in some cases shoot through the afternoon and have lunch at 3pm or so.

Please note that our grounds only allow fibre wads to be used and you must bring non-toxic for any duck shooting

Saturday, 16th October 2010 - Mowden Hall Farm, Essex. 140 bird Pheasant, Partridge and Duck day.
£400 per person. A £200 per person deposit is required.

Saturday, 20th November 2010 - Mowden Hall Farm, Essex. 140 bird Pheasant, Partridge and Duck day.
£400 per person. A £200 per person deposit is required.

Friday, 7th January 2011 - Red Rice, Near Stockbridge, Hampshire. 150 bird pheasant (plus some partridge)
shoot. Cost £535 per person. £285 for a ½ gun and a deposit of £268 is required.

Red Rice is just outside of Stockbridge and on rolling Hampshire countryside. Plenty of woodland and open arable fields covering 3000 acres and does show some very sporting birds. The keeper is also shoot owner. The drives are a mixture of cover crops and woodland whilst the partridge of which there will potentially still be a few around in Jan are the old fashioned type, flaring over hedges and taken in front, and with the pickers up stood in the line also behind.

Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me as per the details below. All cheques etc are to be made payable to "The Lloyd's of London Shotgun Club" and sent to me c/o Compass Underwriting Limited, 1-2 Crutched Friars, London, EC3N 2HT.

Yours sincerely,
